Who we are

Costumer is a workspace for costume designers and their clients. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. It applies to the Costumer website, the web app and the Costumer iOS app.

Costumer is operated by 11565281 Canada Inc., a company incorporated in Canada. References to “we”, “us” and “Costumer” mean 11565281 Canada Inc.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), business name, city and country, and the role you chose (designer or client).

Business content you create: quotes, estimates, projects, routines, client contacts, production notes, fabric and embellishment inventory, expenses, receipts, messages, files and photos you upload.

Photos and camera images: pictures you take or select for Smart Pricing, portfolio samples, fabric records and receipt scanning.

Payment information: subscription and payout records. Card numbers are never sent to or stored by Costumer — payments are processed by Stripe.

Usage and diagnostics: pages viewed, features used, device type, and error reports, so we can fix problems and improve the product.

Safety and moderation records: content reports you submit (including the message or conversation reported and the reason), the list of users you have blocked, and actions we take in response.

How we use it

To run your account and the features you asked for, including Smart Pricing recommendations, quotes, workspaces and messaging.

To process subscriptions, deposits and client payments through Stripe.

To send service emails such as verification codes, password resets, receipts, invitations and workspace notifications.

To keep Costumer secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes and errors.

To review reported messages and conversations, enforce our Terms of Service, and apply blocks you choose to set on other users.

To send marketing email only where you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Photos and the camera

Costumer asks for camera and photo library access only when you choose to add a photo — for a Smart Pricing scan, a portfolio image, a fabric record or a receipt.

Photos are uploaded to our secure storage so they appear on your other devices and, where you have chosen to share them, in the relevant workspace or public directory profile.

Smart Pricing analyses the image to detect garment type and construction details in order to produce a price recommendation. We do not use your photos to identify people.

Sharing

With people you invite: workspace members and clients see only what the project owner has chosen to share, controlled by the per-project sharing settings.

With service providers who operate parts of Costumer for us: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments and payouts, our email provider, our analytics provider, and the AI provider that powers Smart Pricing image analysis.

If the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

We never sell your personal information.

Your public directory profile

If you publish a Designer Directory profile, the information on it — your business name, city, country, specialties, portfolio images and description — is publicly visible. Your email address is not shown publicly. You can unpublish or edit your profile at any time in the app.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your data at any time from Settings.

You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings, then Account & Resources, then Delete my account. Deleting your account removes your profile, projects, quotes, messages, inventory and uploaded files.

Some records are kept where we are legally required to, such as payment and tax records held by Stripe.

If you cannot access the app, email hello@getcostumer.com from your account email and we will delete the account for you.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your rows in our database is restricted to your account by row-level security rules. Passwords are hashed and never readable by us.

Children

Costumer is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Costume photos of minors uploaded by designers are business records controlled by the designer and their client.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Use the in-app tools or email hello@getcostumer.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app or by email.
