Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and 11565281 Canada Inc., the company that operates Costumer. By creating an account or using the Costumer website or app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Costumer.

Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, to run a Costumer account.

One person or business per account. Do not share login credentials with people who should instead be invited as workspace members or clients.

What Costumer provides

Costumer is software that helps costume designers price work, produce quotes and estimates, manage projects, track inventory and collaborate with clients.

Smart Pricing produces a recommendation based on your own saved pricing settings and the details it detects. It is a starting point, not professional advice or a guarantee of profit. You decide what to charge.

Subscriptions and free access

Costumer offers a free tier that includes Smart Pricing, your pricing settings and a free Designer Directory profile. Paid plans unlock quotes, projects, workspaces, tracking and the rest of the platform.

Paid subscriptions are billed in US dollars and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Amounts already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Promotional access, including September Launch Access, is temporary. When it ends the account returns to the free tier. No project data is deleted.

Subscriptions purchased on our website are managed on our website. Where a subscription is purchased through Apple, Apple's billing terms and cancellation process apply.

Client payments

Deposits and balances that your clients pay for physical costumes and your services are processed by Stripe and paid to your connected Stripe account. Costumer does not charge a transaction fee on those payments; standard Stripe processing fees apply.

The contract for costume work is between you and your client. Costumer is not a party to it and is not responsible for delivery, quality, refunds or disputes between you and your client.

Your content

You own the content you put into Costumer, including your photos, designs, pricing and client records. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display it so the service works, including sharing it with the people you invite and publishing anything you choose to publish.

You confirm you have the right to upload the content you upload, including photographs of people, and that you have any consents required.

Acceptable use

Do not use Costumer to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, send spam, upload harmful code, scrape or resell the service, or attempt to access other users' data.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

User-generated content and moderation

Costumer lets users create and share content with each other, including workspace messages, files and photos. You are responsible for the content you send or upload.

Every conversation includes a Report option so users can flag a message or an entire conversation, and a Block option so users can stop receiving messages from another person. Blocked users cannot message you, and their messages are hidden from your view.

Reports are reviewed by us. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts where content breaks these terms, is abusive, or is unlawful. If you believe content was removed or an account action was taken in error, contact hello@getcostumer.com.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Costumer available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a material change that reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion removes your account and content as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone.

Liability

Costumer is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules.
